JVA Materials and Device Return
JVA students will return devices and materials to the school in two waves. Seniors will return items May 17-19, while underclassmen will return items May 26-28. Returns will take place from 2-4 p.m. each day.

- It is important that all labelling is completed before arriving to avoid congestion and frustration.
- Label all books w/teacher's name. On a whole sheet of paper, write your full name clearly with your student ID#, and an explanation for any missing or damaged books. Place in a clear plastic bag.
- Place a label with your full name written clearly, student ID#, and teacher's name on all JHS issued equipment (calculators, instruments, etc.).
Sign-out, delete your profile, and shut down your JHS issued device (laptop, Chromebook, Hotspot). Hand it to Collector #2. If device is lost or damaged, ask for a "Demand Letter."

Enter JHS from Shenandoah Junction Road to access the 1st Collection Point (clear bag and labelled equipment) at the gym entrance then proceed to the 2nd Collection Point (devices) at the front entrance.

JHS Working toward 1:1 device for students

Jefferson County Schools is steadily progressing towards its goal of having a device for each student. It has not been an easy task and Jefferson High School has begun to align our technological resources to meeting this goal. We have two avenues available for students to obtain a school device. Using information provided in the Family Technology Survey, students are either assigned a device for home and school use or provided with a ticket to check-out a device for use at school from the media center.

The Family Technology Survey is required for each student in the home and serves as the first step in the process.  If your family situation changes, a new survey should be re-submitted for each student in the home. The Family Technology Survey form is subject to revisions without notice. Parents’ email address is REQUIRED because information is verified before assigning a device and distribution notification is sent to the address provided.

Technology support for JHS issued devices

Jefferson County Schools (JCS) is working on a way to assist families experiencing technical challenges with school devices used remotely (off school grounds) for educational purposes. Until that is in place, Jefferson High School (JHS) families may use the JHS-Family Technology Support form link provided to report technical issues. The information will be reviewed by our Technology Administrator and forwarded to JCS' IT Department for assistance. This form is not intended for reporting internet/WiFi connectivity issues. Other languages are available using the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of the form (Formulario en español disponible seleccionando la flecha de la esquina superior derecha / pestaña desplegable).
