JHS Pilot Online Scheduling Request Form Expectations (incoming 9th grade students) 

    • School counselors from Jefferson High School visited each middle school and provided guidance with students in preparing a paper copy of their 9th grade scheduling request form.  
    • Following the group scheduling activity, an on-line form was to be completed by students and families to mimic the paper form for submission. The link to the form was sent to middle school counselors to push out to parents through LiveGrades and was also be posted on the Counseling page of the JHS website. 
    • Students were to turn in the paper copy of their scheduling request form to their middle school counselor prior to Winter Break.  
    • For those students who requested an Honors course(s), school counselors at each middle school completed the necessary applications and have submitted those to JHS counselors. Any changes to the schedule due to the Honors application results were completed at JHS.  
    • Students had access to Jefferson Counselors during the scheduling activity for any questions.  
    • Parents and students will continue to have access to the incoming freshman PowerPoint provided at the evening programs through the JHS website (Counseling – Useful Links and Documents) and the Programof Studies for course descriptions through the JCS website (Families and Students – Students – JCS Programs of Studies) 
    • Parents and students were asked to carefully consider their course selections, as JHS constructs its Master Schedule based on course requests and will adhere to the schedule correction policy as outlined in the Schedule Correction Request document posted on the JHS website (Counseling – Useful Links and Documents) 

Rising 10th Grade Scheduling

Submission of the online 10th Grade Scheduling Form serves as the FINAL submission for your course requests for next year. The completion of the online scheduling form is due no later than March 27th, 2020.

Rising 9th & 12th Grade Scheduling

Thank you for assisting JHS with our piloted Online Scheduling Form this year!

We are diligently compiling all of our incoming students' course requests to ensure each student has an electronic submission on file.  For those that were unable to complete the online form prior to the deadline, your son/daughter's course requests will be manually entered here at JHS based on the final paper submission that was received at his/her middle school or by our Counseling Department.
