Live Virtual Event Registration Now Open!

Tuscarora High School will be hosting the 6th Annual Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) Showcase.  This event is designed to expose our school community to the many options that are available at HBCUs.  We want to expose and educate our school communities and encourage all students, regardless of ethnicity, to include these institutions during the college selection process.  There are over 40 HBCUs committed to the 6th Annual HBCU Showcase.

For more information visit our event page:

In addition to the HBCUs that will be in attendance, Lieutenant General William "Kip" Ward delivers keynote address , NCAA presentation by Route Analytics, and community scholarships.  We will be offering this in a virtual format.

James Rumsey Student Announcement

The big question remains "What do our James Rumsey students do if Berkeley County goes remote?" We are working on the answers to that question. Here is what Mrs. FitzGerald has decided thus far...

  • Half day students that drive or have their own transportation can attend JHS for their on-site work and have OSE (stay home) for their James Rumsey class time to complete their courses remotely.
  • Half day students who do not have transportation will complete their JRTI coursework here in a designated location (cafeteria). Students are encouraged to bring their own devices.
  • Full day JRTI students will stay at home and complete their work remotely.
  • If Jefferson County moves to Remote Learning and Berkeley remains open, students are encouraged to attend Rumsey. Mrs. FitzGerald is communicating with Jefferson County transportation at this time to inquire if our buses will run in that scenario.
