Congratulations to JHS Theatre for earning all superior ratings at WVTA for their one-act Relative Strangers. They were selected as one of two schools to represent West Virginia at SETC in Mobile, AL in March.

Tayah Hawley and Deanna Gonzalez were selected to the all festival cast and Jordan Phillips won best actress for the third year in a row at the festival.


Congratulations to the Jefferson High School theater students directed by Mr. Joseph Famiglietti, Jefferson competed in the WV Thespian Festival March 16th thru March 18th at the Creative Arts Center at West Virginia University, Morgantown. High school students from all over the state competed.

Jefferson High School Students won the following awards:

Technical: Best Time Lighting: David Hayes & Jon Katz

Outstanding Individual Event Scene: Jordan Phillips, Tim Butcher & Tighe Didden

First Place Fantasy Make Up: Sikara Sokel, Jordan Phillips & Genevieve Green

Third Place Novice Mask: Bailey Phillips & Madison Painter

First Place Tech Rodeo: David Hayes, Jon Katz Liam McKee, Sabrina Menafee, Theirry Simac & Tavon Bennett

All Star Cast: Tim Butcher & Jordan Phillips

Theater Tech Scholarship: Jon Katz & David Hayes
