JROTC Uniform Issue and Exchange

For all new cadets and those returning in the 2020-2021 School Year, we will be issuing uniforms and exchanging uniforms from 3-6 August 2020, from 0900-1500 each day.

There is no fee for JROTC uniforms.  Each uniform fitting takes approximately 30-45 minutes and no appointment is required.  The uniform issue is not mandatory, but is highly recommended. 

We highly encourage parents/guardians to accompany you so they can complete JROTC enrollment paperwork while you are being fitted for your uniform—this saves time and ensures we have the required information to get you started with our program.

     AFJROTC Uniform Issue and Exchange Procedures

Week of 3-6 August 2020 (Port 7/9) 0900-1500 daily

DIRECTIVES FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

*All instructors and students will be screened for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 prior to the start of each day. Responses to screening questions for each person will be recorded. Any person with positive symptoms will not be allowed to participate in uniform issue and should contact their primary care provider. Vulnerable individuals should not oversee or participate in any issuing activities.

*Car-pooling to and from uniform issue is discouraged to help limit exposure

*Individuals should wash hands for 20 seconds prior to touching any surfaces or participating in uniform issue

*Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn at all times

*Hydration stations (troughs, fountains, etc. will not be utilized)

ADDITIONAL JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL DIRECTIVES:

*All students and instructors are required to wear masks at all times.  Students are to provide their own masks.

*Students will have no access to the building.

*Students will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. 

*No more than two students at a time will be issued uniforms inside Ports 7 and 9.

*Students awaiting uniform issue will wait in Ports 5, 6, or 8, maintaining appropriate social distancing. 

*Students will take all issued items home with them when they depart the Ports.

*Students will be required to complete the attached health questionnaire and undergo a temperature check administered by an instructor before they will be cleared in for uniform fitting.
