This year’s Bell Schedules are available under Our School on the navigation bar at the top of the page. We are maintaining the same Cougar Hour schedule for Tuesday-Friday, but are moving to an Activity Schedule on Mondays to accommodate dedicated time for Freshman Academy, Cougar Compass, and class-specific assemblies and presentations. Students will be assigned to a specific teacher to report to for the activity rotations, and the assignment will show up on their class schedule as an 8th period “LINKS.” Students will receive more information about the Activity Period during Opening Days.

JHS grad earns pilot license

After graduating from Jefferson High School, former c/Lt Col Jacob Wenner attended the AFJROTC Flight Academy where he earned his Private Pilot License. He attended Florida Memorial University where he learned flight skills at the Endeavor Flight School. Wenner applied by sending in a full application, test scores, PT scores, and recommendation letters. Being chosen as one of the 150 cadets out of 1,500 in the United States, Wenner received the scholarship to attend. He was there for a total of eight weeks in which he took classes and learned to fly, flying over Miami and several beaches in Florida. He is attending West Virginia University this year where he will be a part of the Air Force ROTC program there. He has hopes to become a pilot and continue his passion for flying.
