Senior Drive-through Parade

Jefferson will be hosting a drive-through parade to celebrate the Class of 2021 on Friday, May 21st beginning at 7pm. Seniors and their families (one vehicle per graduate) are welcome to come and be celebrated by JHS and JCS Staff and community members. Feel free to wear your cap and gown, decorate your car, and honk and wave, but please remain in your car. See the attached document for directions on the parade route. Line-up will begin in the Wildwood Middle School parking lot.

Friends and supporters are welcome to park in one of the school lots (except for the front staff lot) and observe, celebrate, and cheer. Please make sure to follow social distancing guidelines and remain six feet apart while on campus.

As a gift from Jefferson High School, each Senior will have a yard sign with their name and photo displayed on the parade route. Please wait until the conclusion of the parade to take your sign.

Immediately following the parade, the 2021 Class Officers will be hosting a Senior Sunset with a Chinese sky lantern release. The Senior Class Officers invite all Seniors to participate and to send off any messages or "wishes" they would like to make as they transition into a new chapter of their lives. After proceeding through the parade, Seniors and any guests who wish to stay, may park in the green lot or at Wildwood Middle School to wait for the lantern release which will take place around 7:45.

Google Classroom Tip to Students/Parents

  1. If a student has completed an assignment AFTER the due date, the student needs to message their teacher in Livegrades or Outlook, whichever the teacher prefers, about that assignment with the class period so that the teacher can go back and fix the grade.  Teachers do not get notified by Google Classroom of a late assignment as it comes in.
  2. This short video shows students how to make a copy of a teacher's Google Doc in order to WRITE ON IT as an assignment if there is no student copy already created.  It shows how to easily ADD IT from their Google Drive in the "View the Assignment" box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv-yFR056wo.
