Celebrate

Celebrating Our Seniors!

We were sorry not to be able to hold our traditional Senior Awards Ceremony, but are please to recognize some of the numerous accomplishments of our seniors with this virtual celebration. https://youtu.be/eP1DWoZ0Gog

Please click here for  Additional Awards and Band Awards.

Thank you to all who came out to show their love and support at the Senior Celebration Parade on Sunday, May 17th! Be sure to check out the media coverage from The Journal and WDVM. And thank you to Maleah Cline's grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Marrone-Reese for this great drone footage of the event! https://youtu.be/PHhwlL1xnlA

Seniors are welcome to stop by the school and pick up their sign as a keepsake!

Car Parade

While the parade was a fun way to celebrate our seniors, it is NOT a replacement for graduation. We are continuing to work with the county on plans for the graduation ceremony and will keep you posted as those plans take shape.

Please keep an eye on the
Class of 2020 page on the county website for information about plans for graduation and other information.

Congratulations to Brannon Wiltshire!
Brannon Wiltshire

Brannon Wiltshire has been selected for the 2020 All-National Jazz Ensemble sponsored by the National Association for Music Education. Director of Bands at Jefferson High School JP Lynch said Wiltshire is only the third West Virginia student to ever be selected.

“This is a HUGE accomplishment for this very talented young man, Lynch said. “This is a national honor and selection was through a rigorous audition process.”

Some National Ensembles use a state quota system for selection, but Lynch said the All-National Jazz Ensemble is based totally upon merit. He said the vast majority of the students selected for this ensemble attend very expensive private arts schools and jazz academies. The previous winners from the Mountain State were also students from Jefferson High School - Ian Livingston, Trumpet and Matthew Holmes, String Bass.
